# Imports & Exports

> Bring data into Bodha Route Planner and get it back out.

## Importing stops

### Supported formats

* **CSV** (`.csv`)
* **Excel** (`.xlsx`, `.xls`)

### Column mapping

Bodha Route Planner auto-detects common column headers. If your columns don't match,
you'll see a mapping screen where you can assign each column:

| Field | Common headers detected |
| - | - |
| Address | address, street, delivery address, location |
| Name | name, recipient, customer, contact |
| Phone | phone, mobile, tel, contact number |
| Email | email, e-mail |
| Notes | notes, instructions, comments |
| Time window start | start time, window start, earliest |
| Time window end | end time, window end, latest |
| Parcel count | parcels, packages, qty, quantity |

### Tips for clean imports

* **One address per row** — Don't combine multiple addresses in one cell
* **Full addresses** — Include city, state/province, and postal code for
  accurate geocoding
* **Consistent formatting** — "123 Main St, Apt 4B" is better than
"Main Street apartment 4b number 123"

> [!WARNING]
>
> If a row can't be geocoded, it's imported with a yellow "needs review"
> flag. Fix the address in the dashboard and Bodha Route Planner will re-geocode it.

## Importing orders via API

Use the [Create Order](https://help.bodharouteplanner.com/api-reference/orders/create-order.md) endpoint to push
orders programmatically. Orders with coordinates are marked `ready`; those
without enter `needs_review`.

## Exporting routes

Open any route and click **Export** to download:

* **CSV** — Flat spreadsheet with one row per stop
* **Excel** — Formatted workbook with stop details, sequence, and status

Exports include: address, recipient info, sequence number, arrival time,
completion time, status, POD notes, and photo URLs.

## Exporting analytics

Go to **Analytics** and click **Export** to download a summary of route
performance, driver metrics, and delivery outcomes for a date range.
