# Live Tracking

> Monitor your fleet and share real-time ETAs with customers.

## Fleet tracking

Once a route is dispatched and a driver starts their route in the app, their
GPS position updates on the dashboard map in real time.

The **Routes Dashboard** shows:

* Driver positions on the map with direction indicators
* Current stop being visited
* Completed vs remaining stops
* ETA to next stop

## Customer notifications

Bodha Route Planner can automatically notify your customers about their delivery:

| Notification | When it's sent |
| - | - |
| **Route dispatched** | When the route is dispatched to the driver |
| **Driver approaching** | When the driver is near the delivery location |
| **Delivery completed** | When the stop is marked complete |
| **Delivery failed** | When the stop is marked as failed |

Configure notification templates in **Settings → Notifications**. You can
customize the message text and choose between SMS and email channels.

## Share links

Every dispatched route has a **share link** — a public URL that shows the
driver's live position and ETA on a map. Share it with customers or your
operations team.

The share link shows:

* Driver's current position
* Estimated arrival time
* Stop status (upcoming, in progress, completed)
* Delivery details (if enabled)

## Driver app tracking

The Bodha Driver app tracks location in the background while a route is
active. Tracking stops automatically when the route is completed or the
driver ends their shift.

> Location tracking requires the driver to grant location permissions in the
> app. Background location access is needed for tracking while the app is
> minimized.
