# Managing Drivers

> Invite drivers, manage teams, and control what drivers see.

## Inviting drivers

1. Go to **Settings → Users** and click **Invite Driver**.
2. Enter their name, email, and phone number.
3. The driver receives an email invitation with a link to download the Bodha
Driver app and set up their account.

Drivers can also join by scanning a QR code from the app's login screen.

## Driver roles

| Role | Can do |
| - | - |
| **Driver** | View assigned routes, navigate, complete stops, submit POD |
| **Dispatcher** | Everything above, plus create/edit routes, manage stops |
| **Admin / Owner** | Full access including settings, billing, and API keys |

## The driver app

Drivers use the **Bodha Driver** app (iOS & Android) for their daily work:

* **Route list** — See today's assigned routes
* **Navigation** — Tap a stop to open turn-by-turn directions
* **Stop completion** — Mark stops as delivered or failed, with proof of delivery
* **Offline mode** — The app works without internet and syncs when back online

## Driver share links

For drivers who don't use the app, you can send a **share link** — a web-based
route view that works in any browser. The driver sees the stop list, map, and
can mark stops complete from their phone.

## Shift hours

Set each driver's working hours in **Settings → Route Planning**. The optimizer
uses shift hours to avoid scheduling stops outside a driver's availability.

## Removing drivers

Deactivate a driver from **Settings → Users**. Their historical route data is
preserved, but they can no longer log in or receive dispatches.
