Route basics

A route is a sequence of stops assigned to a date and (optionally) a driver. Routes move through these statuses:

Adding stops

Paste addresses

Copy a column of addresses from Google Sheets, Excel, or any text source. In the route editor, click Paste Addresses and paste your clipboard. Bodha Route Planner geocodes each address and adds it as a stop.

Import from file

Go to Import and upload a .csv or .xlsx file. Bodha Route Planner auto-detects columns for:
  • Address (required)
  • Recipient name, phone, email
  • Notes / delivery instructions
  • Time window (start, end)
  • Parcel count, weight
  • Custom properties
Map any unrecognized columns manually, then confirm the import.

From the Orders inbox

If you receive orders via the API or integrations (Shopify, Google Sheets, etc.), they land in the Orders inbox. Select the orders you want to plan and click Add to Route.

Multi-day routes

For deliveries spanning multiple days, Bodha Route Planner can split stops across days based on driver availability, time windows, and capacity. Enable Multi-Day Planning in your route settings to access this feature.

Duplicating routes

Need the same stops tomorrow? Open a completed route, click ⋯ → Duplicate, pick the new date, and a fresh draft is created with the same stop list.

Tips

Time windows matter. If a customer says “deliver between 9 AM and noon”, adding that window helps the optimizer plan a realistic sequence instead of backtracking.
Service time is how long you spend at each stop (loading, signatures, etc.). Set a default in Settings → Route Planning, or override per stop.
