What is proof of delivery?

Proof of delivery (POD) is the evidence that a delivery was completed — or why it wasn’t. Bodha Route Planner supports three types of proof:
  • Signature — The recipient signs on the driver’s screen
  • Photos — The driver takes photos of the delivered package
  • Notes — Free-text notes about the delivery

Collecting POD

When a driver taps Complete on a stop in the Bodha Driver app, they’re prompted to collect proof based on your settings:
  1. Select a delivery outcome — Delivered, partially delivered, or failed (with a reason)
  2. Capture a signature — The recipient signs on the touchscreen
  3. Take photos — Snap one or more photos of the delivery
  4. Add notes — Any additional details
The POD data syncs to the dashboard in real time (or when the driver is back online).

Configuring POD requirements

Go to Settings → Proof of Delivery to control what’s required:

Viewing POD

On the web dashboard, open any completed stop to see the collected proof: signature image, photos, notes, timestamp, and GPS coordinates at the time of completion.

Exporting POD

Export route data as CSV or Excel to get POD details in a spreadsheet. Photo URLs are included so you can download them programmatically.
Enable required signature for high-value deliveries to reduce dispute rates. For contactless deliveries, required photo of the package at the door works well.
